Donation of furniture, supplies during relocation

SC Americas’ Houston office seized the opportunity to give back to local charities and schools as they moved to their new office in 2020.

Houston Office Relocation is Catalsyt for Local Donations

In the spring of 2020, The Houston office made a major move to a larger space closer to downtown Houston. While the move itself was a big undertaking, the office staff saw this as an opportunity to donate many of the items that wouldn’t make the move with them.

All leftover office furniture from the old address was available for purchase by Houston office employees. All of the proceeds provided by this “furniture fundraiser” were donated to the employees’ choice of three local charities: The United Way COVID-19 Recovery Fund; 2) The Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation; and 3) The HAY Center. A total of 27 employees participated in this fundraiser.

In addition to this fundraiser, Houston’s office administrators arranged for the remaining office supplies to be donated to Spring Branch Independent School District for use by students and administration. The value of these supplies is estimated to be US $486.
